God is on the move

I had a blissful night sleep last night and awoke refreshed and eager to start the day. As is often the case, I dined alone. As I was leaving the dining hall and returning to my room, I spotted two of my teammates smoking cigarettes outside, as is their regular habit. I joined (at a safe distance so to save my lung capacity) and asked them how their 4th of July was. We chatted for a bit and then we broke up to start the day's activities. As I was walking back, Dave hailed me down. Surprised, he asked, "Where are you going to church tomorrow?" Taken aback, I told him I didn't know. I had been to a different church every week. "Do you want go tomorrow?" He said that he did. I admit that I was extremely surprised. He told me that he attends a Christian Reform Church back home. I asked him if he had what I call a "flavor" preference for churches. He had grown up Catholic, but was not into that faith anymore. After a bit of probing, he explained that he would like to go to a southern gospel type church. I couldn't contain my excitement at this point. I told him that I knew just the place--a church recommended to me by a friend from Messiah College who is a year older than me and has already been through institute. I explained that I had to find out about a ride for us, but he agreed to go.

God really is on the move. In spite of my failings, utter lack of faith and unfaithfulness, He is still stirring the hearts of His children.

He is always faithful.
