Prayer Request

I have taken to attending to services on Sundays--one at a Catholic church and the other at a Nazerene church. I attend each one for different reasons which I imagine I will expound upon in letter posts.

But I am writing today because I have a request--a prayer request. I was talking to the parents and grandparents of two of my students who live out in the country. They told me that Little Wound is considering not picking up the family anymore because they are so far out of the way--about a 30 minute drive. There is to be a board meeting regarding the issue tomorrow. If the board decides not to fetch the students, the girls will be home school.

This really was a big blow to me. I love these two girls so, so much. I can't/won't have favorites so I won't say that I love them more than the others, but I would feel the loss keenly--as would there classmates. I also think the transition back to homeschooling would not be in the best interest of the girls. The family has no electricity (though they recently acquired a generator) and no running water. They seem to be a very happy family, but I think that school would really be good for their social development. I am going to the board meeting tomorrow to request that they continue to fetch the two girls.

Please pray that the Lord's will would be done. That is what I want, though I sincerely hope that His will means my babies stay with us.

Love,

B
