It's been a few hours since my last post and I have just graded hundreds of papers from my babies. I admit that like a proud parent, I have to brag about babies.
First, little Y. You would really be amazed to see how far she has progressed. She has learned so much in such a short period of time--and with poor English skills. I am so proud of her. I sent a note home with her parents so they can share in the joy.
And then there is L who I admit I was initially worried about. She can be ridiculously silly which has always annoyed me. However, she is now generally engaged and I have seen real improvement in this short time.
S is sharp. I knew it from the moment I saw him. He honestly just looks intelligent. He is always watching, but rarely talking. Every day he devours the multiplication I give him. Now he is working on three digit numbers. I adore him.
They are make progress--one by one, day by day. If I could just keep/get them invested, I know that we can make the great gains that are required.
