Things have been progressing in Room 170. I am a bit worried that the children are becoming too familiar with me. They have become more bold of late in their statements. I do not want them to think that they can talk back to me. Please pray that I have wisdom in this regard.
As for good news, M was on time the last few days! Praise God! Two days in a row! However, she told me today "I might be late tomorrow." This was a direct threat because I told her that she lost her recess privledge because she had deliberately broke a rule and told another student he would be a tattle-tale if he told me. Her little comment reminded me of how shrewd kids can be.
An update on B. They have decided that his medication is wearing off around 2:00. Therefore, they have decided to send him home around this time. This is, of course, ridiculous. He can't pass if he isn't in class. Please pray that we figure out how to help this kid.
Speaking of helping kids, I met a kid the other night God may use me to help. He came with D, the brother of one of my students--the family I help move after the fire. The boy, P, was "homeschooled" because he failed three times from K-2. He is now about 10 or 11, I would guess. No one is teaching him at home. Instead, he just hangs out. I told him to go and talk to his mom and would take him in my class. I just have this feeling that his future is going to be very bleak if he doesn't get some education. Please pray for him.
Well, I am so tired. I'll give a better update later.

P.S. Here is a picture of me in my classroom.
