SOS Prayer

It has been 'decided' that Crazy M, whom I shall from this point forth call M & M, will moving to Nebraska this weekend. When I asked her grandmother why, she replied that she needed a break. This nearly broke my heart into pieces. You see, M & Ms grandmother raised eight kids of her own and is now raising ten grandkids. She is just so tired. I can understand why she can't do it anymore.

But I can. I am prepared to take Crazy M for the rest of the academic year, and longer, if it is the will of God. I truly love this little girl and believe that her life will be a very sad one if she is not very soon introduced to the love of God. I admit that I am fearful to ask her grandmother to take her. As a white woman, an outsider and a 23 year-old with no parenting experience, it really is an audacious request. I do, however, believe that it would be in Maria's best interest. My parents are supportive of me and I feel at peace about my willingness.

What I ask you to do is pray for me. Pray that if it is God's will, her mother and grandmother relinquish her into my care. She is leaving in three days, so this really important. Please, please pray.
